Introducing :
It is obtained in the from of white, gelatinous precipitate It has specific gravity about 2.4. It is soluble in acid and alkali but insoluble in water and alcohol. It is nontoxic, non combusible. It is use in water purification, water proofing fabrics, filtering medium, in manufacturing of aluminium salt. Others uses include manufacturing glass, sizing paper, ceramic glaze and medicine.
Requirement Raw Materials:
The Raw Material require to produce 100 kgs Aluminium Hydroxide (Gel) are :
1. Sodium Carbonate. 200 kg.
2. Ammonia alum. 480 kg.

in the market. Consumption of Aluminium Hydroxide dyestuff and pharmaceutical industries and other industries is increasing day by day, hence cxsists good scope.
Process of Manufacturing :
Sodium carbonate and water are dissolved in the ratio 1.9 i.e 200 kgs of sodium carbonate and 1800 kgs of water are dissolved in a vessel fitted with agitator. The solution is then filtered. Now 480 kgs of ammonia alum are dissolved in about 1500 liters of water and addad into sodium carbonate solution.
Now about 2500 litter of water and are added. The carbon dioxide produced is allowed to escape. The solution is further diluted with cold water in a concrete tank. The solution is then washed. The resulting gel is homogenized by agitation and packed. Finally some flavouring agents and preservatives are added.
Machinery & Equipment :
1. Filter press size 20"x 20" with 20 plates and 3 HP motor. 1 no.
2. Aluminium trey size 3' x 2'x 2.5 ' ( 100 nos).
3..Drying chamber electrically heated and thermostatically controlled with complete accessories. 1 no
4. Pulverizing machine capacity 250-300 kgs per hour 10 HP motor 1 no.
5. Demineralized water plant 1no.
6. Miscellaneous tools and equipment.
7. Weighting scale.
